Life Can Be Full Of Surprises, Obstacles And Wonder…But Help Is Always Available.

Whether It's A Car Accident, A Scary Diagnosis Or An Uncertain Future, You Can Never Give Up

One of the most difficult days of my life was in the fall of 2001. Our middle son, Colin, was three years old. He spoke only a few words and was a one-man wrecking crew in our home. He had significant behavioral issues and ran away from the house when a door was inadvertently left unlocked. It was by the grace of God that nothing happened to him during that time.

We were finally able to get him seen by an intervention program to determine if he was eligible for early entrance into school through our local school district. As all good parents do when it comes to their children, we scoured the internet hoping to diagnose our son, confident everything was fine–he was just a little delayed, right? I vividly remember having the wind knocked out of me when the therapist who had done the majority of the testing reported to us our beautiful boy was “severely autistic.”

How Could Our Son Be Autistic?

We had read up on autism and considered that he might have some form of mild autism, but severely autistic? Our only real experience with autism was the movie “Rain Man.”  What does this mean? What are we supposed to do first to help our son? How could this happen?

At the time of Colin’s diagnosis we already had one son who we felt was  the exact opposite of his brother. Add to this my wife was also pregnant with our third child. Little did we know all three of our boys would be on the autism spectrum–two of them severely autistic and Henderson Personal Injury Lawyers Jones Wilsonone with what was then known as Asperger’s Syndrome.

Since then we've been fighting on their behalf to make sure they received appropriate health care, as well as speech and behavioral therapy. We've had to protect them from those who would ignore their needs or overlook them because they had no voice of their own.

It's My Mission To Protect Others

It's been a wild ride. We've become advocates for our boys and underdogs of all types. I believe this is what ultimately pushed me away from representing insurance companies, instead working for victims of car accidents and other types of negligence. In situations like this the insurance company holds all the cards, especially following a car accident. They understand the personal injury system and know how to manipulate it to the detriment of injured parties. Someone who has been involved in a car accident is always going to be the underdog.  Without the help of an experienced personal injury attorney an injured victim will never be able to get the correct medical treatment or fair compensation for the pain and suffering caused by someone else's negligence.

Following an accident, if you don't select a personal injury attorney to help you, trust me, the insurane company is going to ignore you, doing whatever they can to deny you the medical treatment you deserve. They will take advantage of you because they know you don't understand the “system.”  Left on your own, you will be denied compensation for your injuries.

Honestly, I feel like it's my calling to protect the underdog and make sure injured parties in Henderson, Las Vegas and throughout Nevada receive fair compensation for personal injuries, property damage and pain and suffering. My wife and I have protected our boys. I'm also here to protect you from the insurance company following a car accident.
